Assistants
We offer voluntary opportunities for students to assist classes. Through Aberdeenshire Voluntary Action, the hours of dedication, learning and development are recognised.
Dance Assistants
Students aged 12+ can work towards gaining their Saltire Award, supported by the Scottish Government. This is a fantastic award to receive and holds strong recognition on a CV.
Dance Assistants are supported by our teachers to build knowledge, understanding and skills within the studio. We are proud to offer the opportunity for voluntary work experience, contributing towards developing able and confident students.
Junior Assistants
Our Junior Assistants are aged 11 and below, and can work towards Aberdeen Voluntary Action’s iVolunteer Award. We support these students to gain valuable skills in communication, leadership and confidence.
“I really enjoy volunteering as a dance assistant. I have gained confidence in myself working with younger dancers and by volunteering, I hope I can be a good role model for them”
“I am learning skills to help them with their progression in class and also how to deal with the emotions of younger children. As a volunteer dance assistant, I am gaining recognition for the hours spent in the studio through the Scottish Saltire Awards run by the Scottish Government. This will be an advantage for my CV as I would like to have a career in dance when I leave school.”
